Hello craft world! It’s been years of self taught on baking projects. I wish I had time and the means just to bake away everyday but I’m not there yet. I do always try my hand on how I can improve every holiday. And I have to say that every year I get a little bit better. Thanks to You tube and the great wide web for they have been a great help! I have used the media for the last 20yrs, before that it was the library and magazines. So, ok! I made Easter cookies! The only challenge about cookies is the decorating. You can bake a batch in less than hour or so but when it comes to decorating, you really need more ample time. Not to mention the right tools like decorating bags and tips. I hope you like the way they look and I can’t wait for my grandson to see them. I made the little chickies for my granddaughters little hands.
The necklace was made out of gum. I did have problems after it was painted. While putting the holes in, the candy coat was cracking. Which was upsetting. But over all it worked pretty good. Can’t wait to make a few more. If I can find the time. I just made this one on a whim, just to see if it could be done. Still looking for improvement.
As I was collecting a lot of gum doing a different project, I decided to see what else I can do with them. They were all white of course. (Blank Canvas if you ask me) I thought ‘Hay, I can makes these in several colors’. Then do what with them? Duh! Beads!!! So I put holes on both sides, glued eye pins that I made. (clearing my throat), added chains and cones and necklace was born. Still have to find a glaze to make them shine. And find better paint the acrylic took a few coats. Trial and error. I hate it but it’s part of the creative process. I can’t wait to rock my necklace out this summer!
Hi everybody! I have quite a few things that I’ll be putting up. Actually, I wasn’t sure what to put up first. So, let me break it down a little. I’m into everything. From baking, sewing, refurbishing, needle arts and crafts. I’ll put that near my header when I figure out how to do it! I first came into crafts as a stress reliever years back and believe me it helped. And of course it evolved from there. So, this is a beige bag that I made, that was from a sweater, that I saw at a thrift store. (I’m always going to the thrift stores) The pattern was the thing that caught my eye and at home, I had this macrame robe that hadn’t been used, took it apart at the end and made the handles. Pretty easy!
Don’t want to leave anyone hanging! I’ve been crafting for quite a few years now with several different mediums. (I hope I spelled that right!) I’m so impressed with all the sea of crafters on this site. It’s almost like dream come true. I’m like ‘Oh that’s so cool, Oh, that’s nice, Great idea, and so on.’ I’m not as savvy as other with uploading several pic at a time, so one at a time is going to have to do for now. 🙂
Have to do this one more time. I could of sworn I saw the display of the share this button on here before I published my last post but when I did it was gone from the post once I published it. Ok, let me see what happens.
Hi everybody! Just starting to get the hang of this. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures of my crafts up soon like everyone else. So many wonderful crafters on this site, that it just make me want to come back to read more.
